Our First Post

Hey everyone, Ben and Jess here.

We spend a lot of our time tinkering with rpgs. We've written so much in the last six months that almost nobody has seen outside of our playtest groups, and even then half of it gets abandoned in a Google Drive folder somewhere. Five Torches Deep continues with its expansions and supplements (Stealth and Origins coming up very soon); but we write and produce more things than we can ever hope to publish commercially with any strategic value. 

As such, we're going to start blogging again. Those of you who followed Ben from years ago know that he used to blog (and release Patreon supplements) fairly frequently. Not really sure why we got away from that other than the misconstrued notion that everything we produce must be of pristine, immaculate quality. But, we're over it.

In short, we're going to be working on a bunch of little things, hacks of other games and projects we like, musings about various settings, and just all around post non-polished things here. Hopefully some of it is useful to you! Here's some things we're working on right now that'll likely make an appearance:
  • GLOG classes and hacks (see this post here to learn more about the GLOG)
  • System-agnostic (or FTD compatible) setting ideas and snippets
  • Tiny FTD-based system hacks or expansions (like our take on Economics)
  • Random game design or business things (layout, complexity, etc)
Of these, we're working on our own GLOG hack which will probably take up the bulk of our subsequent posts in the next couple weeks. If you're into the GLOG or sci-fi stuff, stay tuned for that.

We're continuing our class list for our sci-fi super soldier GLOG hack! (Check out the Juggernaut, our last class here ). GLOG Class: The Juggernaut

This is the first class that we're sharing with our work in progress GLOG hack (which is sort of a riff on military sci-fi super soldiers, like Halo, Gears of War, Starcraft/Warhammer, Crysis, even Doom to an extent). Anyway, on to the class. Juggernaut: A giant with a giant gun Your massive frame and powered chassis are mounted with a artillery-grade turret, capable of belching out thousands of rounds per minute.
