GLOG Class: The Juggernaut
This is the first class that we're sharing with our work in progress GLOG hack (which is sort of a riff on military sci-fi super soldiers, like Halo, Gears of War, Starcraft/Warhammer, Crysis, even Doom to an extent). Anyway, on to the class.
Juggernaut: A giant with a giant gun
Your massive frame and powered chassis are mounted with a artillery-grade turret, capable of belching out thousands of rounds per minute. Lay down a hail of covering fire, stop hordes of enemies in their tracks, or tear down any barrier that stands in your way.

The eponymous killstreak from Call of Duty |
Default augment*
Spend 1 Power Cell to use Barrage and treat your next [level] worth of attack actions as also counting as the suppress action.
*Note: augments in this hack of GLOG are basically like superpowers derived from your high tech suit of superarmor. The augments cost a somewhat rare battery but overcharge your abilities.

Template abilities
- A: Chaingun
- B: Bulletstorm, Reinforced Chassis
- C: Chew a Path, The Lead Curtain
- D: Inexorable
Benefit by level: Get +1 to any damage dealt per Juggernaut template.
A: Chaingun
You gain a unique weapon config called the [chaingun], which functions like the [heavy] config, but deals 2d10 instead of 2d8 damage, doesn't suffer disadvantage to attack, and gains advantage to suppress.
The chaingun is an enormous, intimidating, multi-barrel cannon that can be used to frighten, bludgeon, impress, bash down, prop up, or any similar action.
B: Bulletstorm
Spend 3 actions* in combat, target a 10m area (such as a hallway, room, or clearing) in your line of sight, and make an attack. A hit deals damage to anyone in the target area, friend or foe.
*Note: PCs are cybernetically and genetically altered humans, and so are super fast. They get to act three times in a combat round to account for them usually being outnumbered by more mundane enemies.
B: Reinforced Chassis
Armor plates don't apply load or encumbrance.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt. Doom Chaingun |
C: Chew a Path
You've become adept at using your chaingun to cut paths through bulkhead, rock, vegetation, or throngs of sporebeasts. You can literally punch a 5m wide path through just about anything.
C: The Lead Curtain
You're able to shoot incoming bullets, missiles, or other threats as they get close to you. Make an attack and treat a successful result as your current Shield; a failure means that your chaingun overheats and must be cleared as an action.
D: Inexorable
Your life is inextricably bound to the hunger and bloodlust of your chaingun. Once you reach 0 HP, you activate a state of enraged bloodlust and endless slaughter. Once in this state, ignore any damage you take in a round that you also landed a hit.
Once you miss for a round, run out of targets, or your chaingun is no longer able to fire (such as from a complication) this status ends and you collapse unconscious. Any damage taken after this collapse is suffered as normal.
